The original layout of this turn-of-the-century kitchen did not support the family’s lifestyle. By combining the kitchen and breakfast room and replacing French doors with windows, the reconfigured layout maximized space transforming this back-of-the-house room to center stage.  The mix of warm grey cabinets accented with a variegated, gray glass backsplash created a warm and inviting space for any kind of activity—whether arranging carpools or cooking for family and friends.
