2003 Merit Award Winner: 'Entire House Renovation Over $1M'

A previous addition clashed with the style of the original building

Also winner of Montgomery County Builders Association 2003 Award of Excellence Best Whole House Renovation Over $1M

The goal of this project was two-fold: to restore architectural integrity to this 1909 home and create natural flow from room to room. The previous owners had put up an addition that clashed with the style of the existing house and offered poor use of interior space.

The new owners decided to demolish the structure and start over. In the process, the entire first floor was gutted, re-configured and restored. The clients specified that they wanted "an addition that doesn't look like an addition". The new addition fits seamlessly with the line of the original home.
